Chimpanzee behavior and intelligence

Susan Savage-Rumbaugh has made startling breakthroughs in her lifelong work with chimpanzees and bonobos, showing the animals to be adept in picking up language and other "intelligent" behaviors.

Listen to this TED lecture on Savage-Rumbaugh's ideas about the similarities and differences in Chimps, Bonobos and Humans and her suggestions about what we can do with the information.

In HOMINID, we are primarily working from Frans de Waal's writing and research, but it's always interesting to get a different perspective.
